BESS GSA is an interdisciplinary group of graduate students at Cornell University with a common interest in environmental sciences. Cornell has a strong tradition of promoting research in environmental science and biogeochemistry since the 1960s, and our graduate group has been active since 1996. Together, our BESS group hosts an invited speaker in the spring semester for the Biogeochemistry Seminar Series, graduate student retreats, research mini-symposia (i.e., lightning talks), BESS GSA 10-11 AM Friday Meetings (Fall 2026), workshops and social events!
